What happens when you call

Most people who reach us have never hired an investigator and are not sure what the first call even sounds like. Here is exactly how it goes.

You describe the situation in your own words. There is no form and no script. Nothing you say obligates you to hire us, and nothing you say leaves this office. Forty years in this work means very little surprises us, so there is no reason to soften the story.

You will hear three things back. Whether an investigation can actually get what you need, roughly what it would cost, and how long it should take. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need us at all, and we will tell you that too.

Useful things to have ready, though none are required to call: names and any addresses you have, the dates or times something tends to happen, a recent photo, and any paperwork such as a court date or a claim number.

Then you decide, on your own schedule. If you move forward, the scope and the cost go in writing before any work begins.
